Awesome Natural Aromatherapy Recipes

Physical and emotional health can benefit greatly by using natural aromatherapy techniques. Actually taking the herbs orally is not done in aromatherapy, which prevents any chance of bad side effects. The oils used in aromatherapy can help a person out in more then one way. The two methods that are therapeutically used include rubbing the oils into the skin, and the way the brain interprets the smells as they pass through the olfactory nerves in the nose.

Simplicity is the word when it come to administering natural aromatherapy oils. Once your aware of what particular oils are good to help particular issues, then you have the know how to try. Books are a great reference on aromatherapy. Professionals who do aromatherapy, and others who have a lot of experience with the essential oils have written information which is accessed on the Internet, and contain all kinds of valuable information.

Some of the everyday issues that can be addressed by the beginning practitioner are listed by recipe below -

Skin care and essential oil application

Dry skin and other healing issues can be easily treated with natural aromatherapy. Cell growth in the skin can also be stimulated. Skin problems which include fungal growth, swelling, or infection by bacteria are all treatable with aromatherapy.

A good combination to try is a balance of myrrh and sandalwood, along with lavender and rose, for dry skin. Chamomile is very useful for treatment on sensitive people. A couple of drops of the chamomile and a couple of ounces of almond or jojoba oil, a drop of rose mixed with a drop of myrrh will be a combination needing proper storage. A dark brown or black type of glass bottle which should be tight enough to keep air out will help it last longer, as well as being kept in a place with very low light, and not a lot of heat.

Mature women can use an easy combination by combining two drops of chamomile with a couple of ounces of almond oil. Add two drops each of myrrh and frankincense and you will have a skin revitalizer that can treat aging issues. This should also be kept in proper storage.

Another treatable condition is acne. The mixture for this problem includes lavender (ten drops), tea tree oil (fifteen drops), and a base oil of either almond or jojoba (two ounces). While this is good for the face, you may want to try out a recipe that will be good for the whole body. To the water in a bath, add a couple drops each of lavender, then spearmint. Then a spoon of olive oil mixed with a spoon of honey. All this is followed by then adding milk (one cup only) to the bath.

Hair aromatherapy benefits

A person should never forget about their hair needs. To get your hair looking its best, a couple of easy aromatherapy techniques can be used. Using a combination of powdered orris root, and rosemary (one drop) can make dry hair look and feel better in five minutes. Just brush it out after waiting for the best results.

Natural aromatherapy can address hair growth issues. Jojoba oil will work as the base oil, mixed in with cedarwood, rosemary, and bay oil. Overnight treatment, followed by a morning rinse works well.
